We (CRTC) have a great Emerging Tech Forum meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, February 26th at UMBC Research and Technology Park (Training Room - Suite 110, 5520 Research Park Drive, Baltimore, Maryland 21228) and I was hoping you will be able to attend. “Open source security tools: Making security accessible for the IT professional: How to punch yourself in the face with Spotkick's open source security toolbox” is the title and Eric Fiterman, a 2013 TechAwards Finalist in the Innovator Award category is the moderator. Eric is a former FBI special agent and developer of spotkick.com and banklook.com. Eric also taught forensics at BlackHat and has spoken at ShmooCon.
It promises to be a fantastic event so come prepared to get some information about security, pentesting/hacking and how to do more with less. Make sure to bring your laptop as you will get a chance to give some new security tools a try and hear how hackers are disrupting government/business today. Here is a link to register, http://bit.ly/2_26_ETF. Don't forget that CRTC members can attend Forum events for free. If you have a contact that might benefit from this presentation, please bring him/her along and use the promo code, ETF022613 to register him/her for free.
